Michael Schunke
“As a teen, I began to develop a studio practice rooted in glassmaking. I’m dedicated to excellence in craftsmanship and look to historical Venetian references as benchmarks of craft. While I embrace traditional techniques, it’s my intention to sustain my intuition in the present. Through physical repetition and personal curiosity, I discover forms and patterns of quiet classical beauty and contemporary detail.”
