Josh Bernbaum

I am most interested in color, especially color relationships, in the designs I create. At my studio, on a hill in the woods of Southern Vermont, I make my work using various methods of color application. I apply these methods, developed over centuries of glass making, to my contemporary designs.

Molten glass is an unforgiving and challenging substance to tame and manipulate. It is a continual learning process for anyone choosing it as a medium. I consider the pieces I make to be documents on the path of a (hopefully) life-long journey developing the necessary skills and patience needed to create using this captivating and mesmerizing molten material.
